Accessibility statement
Last updated: November 2026
I want everyone to be able to use this website, including with a screen reader, with the keyboard only, with magnification or with high contrast. This statement applies to www.edwinvonlemberg.com in German and English.
Legal framework
As a microenterprise providing services, I am exempt from the requirements of the German Accessibility Strengthening Act (BFSG) under Section 3 (3) BFSG. I nevertheless voluntarily follow the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, conformance level AA, and the European standard EN 301 549.
Compliance status
This website is largely compliant with WCAG 2.2 AA. This assessment is based on a self-evaluation in November 2026: automated testing with axe-core and manual testing of keyboard operation, focus order, zoom to 400% and display on narrow screens.
What I have implemented
- All functions can be operated with the keyboard. A “Skip to content” link bypasses the navigation, and the keyboard focus is always visible.
- Headings, navigation areas and lists are properly marked up. Images have text alternatives, and purely decorative elements are skipped by screen readers.
- Text has sufficient contrast. Links in running text are also underlined.
- The page can be zoomed to 400% without losing content or having to scroll sideways.
- If “reduce motion” is enabled in your operating system, animations and the animated mouse pointer are switched off. With high contrast or forced colours, your system’s mouse pointer is kept.
- The enquiry form has labelled fields, and error messages are announced to screen readers.
- Tooltips that appear when hovering over the side navigation can be dismissed with Esc.
- You can reach me in several ways: via WhatsApp, by email or through the form.
Known limitations
- Appointment booking: The booking calendar is an embedded service from zcal. I have no influence on its accessibility. You can always arrange an appointment by email or WhatsApp instead.
- Screenshots of the example app: The screenshots of Machi contain text as images. Their text alternatives describe the essential content but do not reproduce every piece of text in the image.
